Patrick A. Talley, Jr. of New Orleans and Valerie T. Schexnayder of Baton Rouge have been certified elected for 2023-24 LSBA president-elect and 2023-25 LSBA secretary, respectively, following the close of election qualifying on Oct. 24.

The LSBAs Rules of Professional Conduct Committee has updated the Handbook on Solicitation and Lawyer Advertising in Louisiana. The November 2022 Second Edition was written by William M. Ross.
